Chapter 7 – Kiss Ass

Remember when you were in school and there was this one kid who was a kiss ass (they call it “mutti” in sinhala) to all the teachers? I’m sure you do or maybe even you must have been that kid who was always the favorite among the teachers. Maybe they should teach kids to be kiss ass as they grow up because that kind of thing is going to take you far away to success. Attitude is not something that will please everyone you know. For example take two kids in class and their approach on their teacher. So one kid is a very lethargic, kiss ass type of a kid while the other one is a pretty rough kid with attitude and charisma. Who do you think will the teacher like the most? Is it the kid who says yes to everything and nods his/her head to everything the teacher tells him? Eventually even if the teacher pulls out a red pen and tells him/her that it’s a green pen he/she would just nod to accept it or the kid who will stand up and say “I don’t think that’s right?” Well you have to be like 10 years to get that one wrong. So what’s the big deal with that? I guess there isn’t a big deal leaving the fact that most kids don’t like kiss asses!! And they are eternally bugged the whole time.

I still think this kiss ass thing is a really good thing when it comes to work as well except the fact that your teacher becomes your boss and he/she cannot physically assault you for what so ever so yeah!!!! Well I believe the theory of sucking up to your boss is very essential. Simply for the fact that it depends on the intrinsic motivators!! Money!!! Duh??? So if you need a promotion, extra bonus or extra incentive be a kiss ass because it saves you a lot of time and energy and it only requires you to act a bit stupid sometimes and to swallow whatever your boss says when just think he/she never said something like that. So people will hate you but who cares? It’s not like the people will give you what ever you want right? So screw the others!! Who even cares about them!! Let them call you whatever they want to (unless it’s like racially discriminating you or something) because at the end of the day you benefit.

So maybe you would take a minute to think about that that kid who sucks up to the teacher all the time because you could learn a thing or too from him/her and after that you could bug him/her to death.

Chapter 6 – Adam Lambert (the next big thing)

Well if you’re an American idol fan this name should ring a few bells. Adam Lambert performs in this season of American Idol. And in my perspective he is the next best thing. Adam is sort of a gothic rock type of singer who has an amazing voice range. He pitches notes that are out of this world and makes it look so damn easy. He is a one of a kind singer and his performances prove it. He comes from a very dramatic background because this guy is into theater and that maybe the fact that he is so comfortable on stage when he performs. Man he is flawless. He is surely the real deal.

Coming to the confusing part, I read a few articles about this season’s American idol and went through the comments and let me tell you it isn’t good. Why have people got to condemn others based on their personalities and ways of lives huh? True Adam Lambert is gay with all the makeup and the nail polish and all but we have to remember this is not a beauty pageant or a fashion show. It’s a singing competition mind you and it has nothing to do with how people dress or their looks. So what the guy is gay? Give him a break. He must be weird to people but hey everyone has their own unique features right? People don’t seem to find the area of interest when it comes to stuff like these. When you supposed to judge a person on his/her voice people look at their looks. It maybe true that looks may play a part of a person’s performance but it doesn’t change the fact of how a person sounds.

He will continue to impress and I know he has go so much lined up for the viewers. May America make the right choice but honestly he rocks big time and I see him walking away with the whole thing. He has already been rated as a finalist and surely will make a good recording artist. Wish the guy all the best.

Chapter 5 – Best Friends

Wow. Where can I possibly start? Well the term friend is pretty tricky you know because it can mean a lot of things. What confuses me first is the fact that if a girl/guy is good friends with a guy/girl respectively what would you call it? Taking the fact that its not a romantic relationship, if a girl is good friends with a guy she has to call him her boyfriend simply because he is her friend and he is a guy and that makes boy + friend = Boy Friend right? But that’s not how it’s done in real life huh? Is she says he is her boyfriend people would anyway think the couple are romantically involved in a relationship. I wonder whether there is another term people can use to make it clearer about their relationship but it doesn’t seem been used yet I guess. Maybe we will have to wait till this issue becomes a real worry to everyone to bring about a change.

Diving into our major topic “Best Friends”, what do you think would be the best definition? There are so many ways to define the word friend but the best would be “person you know well and regard with affection and trust”. Yup I think that summons the whole term friend. Do we really regard are friends with affection and trust? Do we respect them? Are we there for them when they need us? Or is the sentence “I’m your best friend and I will be with you when ever you need me to support you” a complete utter fake? I have heard that you should be even ready to sacrifice yourself for your friend. But common you don’t have to go to that extreme you know. Just do the basics right by being there for them when they need you the most. I hear people boost so much of being best friends but what’s the use if you cannot stand up to your word? You become a total looser. I mean is it so hard to stick to your word by being there for that person? It’s not like he/she is telling you to assassinate someone or asking you to do the extraordinary right?

Little things go a long way people. If we cannot do the miniature stuff how can we even think about the impossible? It’s like in this book I read once you know where the author says “think for a minute how many people will cry for you the day you die? Because if they do it’s simply because you have touched them (spiritually ok?) or you have been a huge impact in their life” Your friends aren’t asking you to do miracles you know. A best friend is a person who will stand by you at good times as well as the bad ones. A person who will say that he/she is proud of you. A person who will stand by your word when your right and even when you are wrong. A best friend is to be kept for ever and is sure to make a difference in your life. Think about it people because it maybe no big deal for us but it is a really big deal once you think about it.

Best friends are hard to find. Choose wisely.

Chapter 4 - The Guy Terms!!

PLAYBOY
Its one of the most inspiring stories ever to unfold in history because the playboy magazine is regarded the work of this amazing man called Hugh Hefner. He went through hell in order for men to fulfill mans wildest dreams by creating the playboy magazine which has become one of the best selling magazines in the world (Hugh Hefner is the old guy who often wears this red robe and he is surrounded by beautiful women who he calls him his playboy bunnies) Oh yeah!! Moving on what confuses me is that some guys have got the wrong idea about the whole thing. It even confuses me sometimes when guys tend to refer themselves as playboys because do they really mean that he wants to be a playboy model (I don’t think there are male models anyways unless someone wants to make history) or that they desperately need to be engaged in a relationship and they think that’s the coolest way to put it. As confusing as it can be I did refer the term playboy in the dictionary and the only other result I got leaving out the play boy magazine was this;

Whoa!!! Now I feel that’s pretty harsh on a guy because that definition is way too rude and it can hurt a few feelings and we don’t want that don’t we? So let’s make it a bit less hurtful for them guys so that we have no hard feelings. Guys playboys = losers!!!!!

Is it me or are these terms way to whacky? Not cool guys!! Just another bad term to use. No wonder these stuff confuses people big time. Ok... Ok... Word of advice children. If you want to be a player among the ladies this is what you need.

A pretty face (If you don’t have one just forget it dude!!)
Attractive Looks (oh yeah)
A gay attitude (Act as if your gay and as if women don’t like you because girls tend to dig that)
The pimp factor (The fact that you’re the real deal and you have got every ones attention)
A dorky excuse (you have to have this one of a kind excuse because that’s going to be your triumph card. Something like fake heart pains or the emotional breakdown or something like that. Try to be creative)

And that’s all the fundamentals of being the “PLAYER”. All the best people. Now you are ready to take on the world.


Ok so it’s true that guys do try their best to impress girls but some go way ahead in doing so and that makes it quite crazy. Then there are some guys who have this huge ego and attitude, and some times it doesn’t work out for them. All in all, the world was created in such away because even if we look at the animal world it’s basically the same scenario. The male species try their best to impress the female species and the female species chooses between the strongest and the weakest. But when it comes to mankind it becomes more complicated as to the way of the male impressing the female. It’s just a whole bunch of feelings flowing from everywhere with no control over the other. Well I guess it just might be too complicated for the ordinary to understand.

Best advice a person can give is to be true to yourself and don’t be someone your not. The idea is to impress and not to imitate or be someone completely fake, and don’t ever change your word if you ever give one. Stand by your opinion because once you choke on your own words you turn out to be total looser to everyone.

Chapter 3 - Love

Isn’t this the most confusing topic of them all? This is the main reason I started writing this thing in the first place because my thoughts has to go somewhere right? They should have added this into the school syllabus and I bet it would be a more complicated subject like no other. There are certain parts of love that is so mysterious and hard to think about and there are parts which really doesn’t make sense. Well love is unconditional and you have to accept the fact is that gay/lesbian love is the same as the normal thing. It’s not like they were born to be like that or something right? It’s just a choice they had to make about their liking. People should learn to respect that.

Anyways I’m not going to talk about it because that is not what concerns me. What concerns me is the certain theories of love. “Love at first sight”, “Love is Blind” are these just lines that mean nothing or are they lines which really mean something worthwhile. It seems they have been slogans to express what we call love but has no material bearing. God did create people according to his image but why are people so different? Why are their so many stereotypes in the world? Why are people categorized by their looks?

So much of questions keep popping up but are there possible answers? It’s an obvious thing that people go for better looks as in girls look for guys better looking. But is it the correct choice when it comes to love? Is the pretty face the real deal? For most cases they are as people often fall for looks. Love is not all about being attractive you know. It’s about finding the right person who will stand by your side no matter what. It’s about finding the person who will be with you no matter what. Its about being with the person your comfortable with and not just being with a person who has the better look or better sex appeal.
Love is a thing you can speak for ages and still you got loads to talk about but I will put a stop to it since its getting so emotional and all. But let me give you just one advice love is not based on looks and it you think so you’re the biggest looser of all time because love is based on trust, great friendship, honesty and loads of respect for each other. It’s not a sex tool or a way of pleasing your sexual needs. It’s regarded as something really respectful and should always be regarded likewise.

Chapter - Chat Rooms

I know!! Chat rooms = Online Dating. It’s a common factor. For some its more than that I guess. Why do chat rooms even exist? Maybe for some it’s a good way to meet their future better half. Is that obstructing the love term “Love at first sight?” Or maybe sight isn’t the right word there. Now you get chat rooms categorized as Business, Music, Sports, Love and Dating, Religion. Are you serious? You actually think people categorize their chatting into certain interests? Maybe most of you people have been on chat rooms and most of you have a faint idea in what I’m trying to say.

Ok. So you log into a chat room and what’s the first thing you have been asked is what’s your ASL? Yes people a good 30 minutes of chatting cut down by 3 letters. ASL!! Age, Sex, Location. It’s the first chat room term you study just like the alphabet when you started school. Chat rooms maybe successful for many individuals and I accept the fact that it’s not just a dating thing but a good platform to make good friends.

Well moving on the rule of the strongest survivor literary is applied even in chat rooms.
The male is the person with the hardest work load in a chat room as you may see he scrolls up and down and eagerly anticipates the entry of the female. Take it from a girl’s perspective. When a girl logs into a chat room it becomes her worst nightmare because eventually all the guys have sent chat requests to her. So she turns on the filtering process of choosing the best person to chat with. Maybe a guy who has the coolest chat name will stand a chance and then it’s again the hunting process for the rest. It’s totally like real life you know like in the jungle when the female species chooses the most suitable male species. Lets take our attention away from the jungle shall we because it’s a proven fact that mankind is more civilized than the animals. Where were we then? Oh yes. Chat rooms. Interesting aren’t they?

So we were talking about the mating process in chat rooms. Now we go to the bizarre and crazy sides of chat rooms. I happened to log into a chat room recently and let me tell you it’s not that much of a calm peaceful place. You get a couple of guys spiting out slang on the main window which is very scary and then you get a list of chatters who have really corny nicknames which are extremely funny. You get a certain group of people who are actually males but they chat as females which is very strange. I really don’t get this and I tend to think whether it’s because they want to experience how a girl chats in a chat room or whether they are mentally stressed out of the fact that girls keep rejecting them. It can be either way but let me tell you it ain’t cool to do so because girls can tell whether it’s a girl/boy their chatting with. (I have no experience what so ever)

My advice is choose a decent chat room and then create a cool nickname which is not even near being homo sexual and doesn’t display violent content and something that doesn’t offend anyone in anyway. Then try your luck or if you’re not down with that then get a life!!!

CONFESSIONS OF A CONFUSED PSYCHOPATH

Chapter 1 – Introduction

Weird isn’t it? From time to time you meet this weird kind of people who you just look at and just go “He is so freaking weird”, and then there is another type of people who acts weird but trying to do insane and crazy stuff, and than you get the type of people who is totally normal but deep down inside a total psychopath. Welcome to my world. A world where you would stop for awhile and think how insane stuff really is and accept the fact that it’s a crazy world out there. If not I will just turn out to be a complete idiot who doesn’t make sense at all. You are already feeling that aren’t you? Damn it!!

I hope this whole thing would raise a eyebrow or two because there are so many mysteries in the world and one single individual may not know the reasons to all of it. Confusing as it can be there should be a logical explanation to everything right?
